The trailer for the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" television remake dropped Thursday, teasing fans of the 2005 action film with guns blazing and sparks flying.
"Community" star Donald Glover and "PEN15" star Maya Erskine play the titular spy couple originally portrayed by former real-life couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Glover co-created the Prime Video series alongside fellow "Atlanta" writer Francesca Sloane.

Why did Phoebe Waller-Bridge leave Mr. and Mrs. Smith role?
Emmy-winning writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge was originally cast to play Mrs. Smith and serve as an executive producer before exiting the project in 2021 all together following "creative differences."
The split was reportedly amicable and both the "Fleabag" creator and Glover remain friends, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
TV remake derails from film's approach to marriage
Glover told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published last month that the series will tell a different story from the film.
In the original movie, Pitt and Jolie play a married couple who learn they're both spies working for rival agencies and are then hired to kill each other. However, the series follows Glover and Erskine playing strangers who sign up for the same agency and tasked to pretend to be a married couple.
The "Redbone" singer said he wanted to take a deeper approach to marriage and relationships.
"Why do people even get married anymore? Half of it ends in divorce – what's the purpose?" Glover said. "Let's make a show dealing with relationships, but from this point of view, centering more on really what a marriage is and trust and teamwork and loneliness and all that stuff. I just wanted it to be something that spoke to people right now because in a time of abundance, why do we feel lonely?"
